MJLC Consulting Ltd’s initial vision is to provide cost effective Delivery Management capabilities and Cyber Essentials based security assurance to small to medium sized companies that do not retain these capabilities in house. Future expansion aspirations include Payment Card Industry (PCI) accreditation and NCSC CHECK based IT Security assessments, of which Matt has extensive experience.

Effective Delivery Management of IT Security Assurance is important at multiple stages of the IT Development, Management and Support lifecycles, to ensure effective and timely delivery of secure IT services and solutions. With this in mind, both Directors have extensive experience of delivering secure IT systems, the stages at which IT system components require to be security assessed and what is required to manage and implement remedial solutions to rectify functional, non-functional and security-based defects; be they inherent to third-party components or inadvertently introduced through in house systems development.

Security assurance is delivered by Matthew Lacey (Director) who has over 18 years’ experience of assessing the IT security stances of a wide variety of IT systems, ranging from retail websites to Naval platform weapons handling systems. The Cyber Essentials accreditation scheme was instigated by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and managed via their business partner IASME https://iasme.co.uk. MJLC Consulting Ltd is in the early stages of inception and is currently pursuing IASME Certification Body status and Cyber Essentials Assessor certification. This will provide the company with the ability to conduct cost effective IT Security assessments that are backed by the NCSC Cyber Essentials accreditation scheme, at both Cyber Essentials Basic and Plus levels.

Delivery Management is provided by Jenna Carrick (Director) who has 7 years extensive experience of managing the delivery of IT systems for key lifesaving functions of the NHS. Through this experience she is able to conduct effective and productive consultancy with all stakeholders within the IT systems development lifecycle to deliver IT solutions and effect rapid, accurate and effective system changes. MJLC Consulting’s service offerings are supplied with a personal touch and in recognition of the potential difficulties in communicating the need for effective Delivery Management and Planning, and explanation of complex IT system security defects, to businesses where IT is not at their core.
